Well the fog has lifted, the rain has stopped, the temperature has dropped, the sun is out and unfortunately so is the hydro. Yesterdays storm left a trail of downed trees and hydro wires everywhere. Oh some hydro wires are not down they just have great big trees lying on top of them. Yes that would be my neighbour who doesn't like to cut down any trees even the dead ones. So every time there is a bad storm we go over there to see which tree is on the hydro wire now. The hydro is out on Lake St. Peter, Mink Lake and Boulter Lake. It never went out on the highway so we were able to stay open. It's been a over 24 hours now with no end in sight for a while.
The trails have taken a real beating. We have lost about two thirds of our snow. The trails are closed for a while until we get more snow.
There is not too much snow coming in the next few days, but who knows things change around here daily.
Well lets see what the weekend brings. I hope it is snow and bright lights.

Just a quick thanks for providing the information on this blog - we have a cottage and only get up on the weekends, so it's a great way for us to stay connected with the area during the long, boring work week!
